Matt began his career as an advisor in 2004 after graduating with a BA degree in Finance from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. He works closely with institutions, affluent individuals, and multi-generations of families to create customized wealth management strategies. His experience, along with his team and partners at Polaris Private Wealth, combine for over 70 years of industry expertise, giving them significant insight across the financial landscape which they utilize to advance clients’ interests.
In addition to providing traditional advice to our clients and helping them to define their risk and objectives in order to construct a portfolio, as a Wealth Management Advisor, Matt uses a goals-based approach to planning. He will review both the asset and liability side of a balance sheet, provide cash flow analysis, consider appropriate insurance coverage for personal and business needs, discuss philanthropic desires, and partner with other professionals, such as accountants and attorneys, taking all aspects of a financial circumstance into consideration to accomplish our clients’ specific goals and meet their objectives.
Matt resides in Oxford, Michigan, along with his wife, Christine, and their three sons, Owen, Evan, and Adam, and is an avid golfer and sports fan.
Matt is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®), a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®), and is currently registered in 26 states.
